Juvéderm Volux

*Individual results may vary

If you’ve always been concerned about your jawline, wished for a more defined jawline, or would like to re-contour the lower half of your face, our Juvéderm Volux is made exactly for that. Dr. Epstein and his team are dedicated to treating all patients with their end-goal aesthetic in mind, and with the latest dermal filler technology, we are able to help you achieve that!

What Is Juvéderm Volux?

Juvéderm Volux is an injectable gel made specifically to improve jawline definition in patients with moderate to severe loss of definition in the lower jaw. Juvéderm Volux offers a much firmer type of hyaluronic acid (HA) filler, compared to other HA fillers, which helps to improve and redefine the structure of the lower face. This treatment adds long-lasting definition to the jaw, can help reduce the appearance of jowls and improve the appearance of a more contoured face shape and profile.

What Areas of the Face Is Juvéderm Volux Used to Treat?

This dermal filler is used to fill lost volume in the lower face, chin area, and jawline. Juvéderm Volux™ can help reduce the appearance of jowls and double chins by strengthening and redefining a patient’s jawline for a smoother, more chiseled look.

How Is Volux Different From the Other Fillers in the Juvéderm® Line?

The Juvéderm Volux dermal filler is the newest FDA-approved filler made with the improvement of jaw definition in mind. It contains a thicker hyaluronic acid formula than other Juvéderm fillers, allowing for easy implantation of the injectable gel and strengthening and firmness of the area the implant is filling.

How Does It Work?

Juvéderm Volux is an injectable gel made from Vycross technology which adds a tiny amount of the compound BDDE to hyaluronic acid, creating a firmer, smoother type of gel perfect for treating the loss of volume in the lower jaw area. Dr. Epstein will then inject this filler into specific areas of your face or jaw, as discussed in your personalized consultation, to help you achieve your aesthetic goals. Though this treatment only invokes slight pain through the injection site, numbing treatments may be used to help the patient with comfort during the procedure.

How Long Do Results From Juvéderm Volux Last?

While results may vary from patient to patient, most Juvéderm Volux patients enjoy long-lasting results from this treatment for up to 12 months.

Can Juvéderm Volux Be Combined With Other Fillers?

Since each Juvéderm filler is designed for a specific area, they can be combined. All Juvéderm fillers can work together, as they are all made from hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring product in the body responsible for plumping and firming the skin. It is best to combine Juvéderm products, rather than mixing different fillers from various companies.

Are There Any Side Effects of the Juvéderm Volux Treatment?

Because the Juvéderm Volux is an injectable, you can expect some pain, bruising, swelling, and tenderness on or around the injection site during and after your treatment. These side effects typically subside after two weeks, however, and go away permanently after the recovery period has passed.

What Is the Downtime After a Juvéderm Volux Procedure?

You will see instant results after your Juvéderm Volux treatment, however, it can take up to four weeks for your injectable to settle and appear more natural on your face.
